I couldn’t sleep, as tired as I am, so I decided to share some things with you. I hope you have been well.
When I was at work last night one of the “kids” made a statement about college, Yale, to be exact. I said to him “If big colleges like “Yale” and “Harvard” or so good, why is life in this country so bad?”
Before he could answer me another kid answered “Because of greed.” Smart kid.
Greed is not good, and it is never alone.
Some people become greedy to feed their jealousy. They see something they want, something that someone else has, and they want to have it. A lot of it, and what do most greedy people want? Money.
But what exactly is Gold?
A yellow precious metal, the chemical element of atomic number 79, valued especially for use in jewelry and decoration, and to guarantee the value of currencies. – Google
Why is it so precious?
“First and foremost, what makes a precious metal is its rarity. Rarer than silver or copper, two other ores that have been mined since antiquity, its value was proportionately larger. Second, gold has fantastic properties like it does not tarnish, is very easy to work, can be drawn into wire, can be hammered into thin sheets, alloys with many other metals, can be melted and cast into highly detailed shapes, has a wonderful color and a brilliant luster.” – http://www.zmescience.com
Although Gold has been and still is mined from the Earth, the Earth doesn’t produce Gold, it simply holds it. So where did the Earth’s Gold come from?
“A few hundred million years after the Big Bang, the first stars were blazing away with their nuclear fires. These nuclear fires forced lighter elements together to make slightly heavier elements, and these nuclear reactions released a huge amount of energy. Gradually, these early stars began making elements such as carbon, nitrogen, oxygen — working their way up through the periodic table towards iron. But there was still no gold in the Universe. Once these earlier stars ran out of light elements to burn, they kicked in on the heavier ones. Finally, as they burnt silicon to make iron, they exploded as a supernova, and for a few short moments, each star would release as much energy as all the regular stars in that galaxy put together.In that cataclysmic explosion, for the first time, atoms of gold were manufactured — and then hurled out into the Universe, along with the other debris from that explosion.” – http://www.zmescience.com
Gold is a product from a supernova. It cannot be replicated by man, which makes it extremely valuable, and rare. There is only so much Gold on this planet. The only way to increase the amount of Gold this planet has is for it to collect it from another supernova that can produce gold, and I don’t see that happening anytime soon. So where I am going with this?
Or simply by spending it, but first you need it to spend it.
The paper currency that our country, and other countries, use as money is nothing more than a paper certificate representing a specific amount of Gold owned by the spender. Paper currency was originally invented to avoid the need to carry Gold on oneself. Gold as a metal is quite heavy, paper is not, it is easier to carry $1,000 in paper money than it is to carry $1,000 in Gold. But technically, to have $1,000 in paper money you need to have $1,000 in Gold to represent that $1,000 in paper money, whether that Gold is in a bank or stuffed under a mattress. If you have a 10 dollar bill, do you have 10 dollars worth of Gold to represent it? If you received that 10 dollar bill from your employer, do they have 10 dollars worth of Gold to represent it? Does their bank have that 10 dollars worth of Gold to represent it? Does anyone have that Gold to represent your 10 dollars?
Do you know what inflation is, Kiddo? Here is one definition ;
Inflation : “a general increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money.” – Google
The definition above is generic, and not a good one either, for it doesn’t provide the reason as to why inflation exists. But I’ll tell why it exists, Kiddo.
The financial term “inflation” didn’t exist until the ’70’s. In the Fall of 1971, U.S. President Richard M. Nixon declared to the world that this country’s paper currency is “so good”, that “we” don’t need Gold to “back it up”. With that being said, the government could now print paper currency, as much as they want, without having, needing, Gold to represent it as it’s equivalency. Without Gold to represent the paper currency, the paper currency holds no value, so to make the paper currency valuable, more of it is needed. Some business owners understand this. They know that our paper currency is not as good as Gold, so for them to get anything in return from their goods and services they raise their prices on their goods and services, after all, something is better than nothing, yes? With the prices of those goods and services raised, employers need to pay their employees more, just to keep up with the cost of living, and in doing so the money market becomes flooded with money that has no value in comparison to Gold. And I say that paper money has no value because it doesn’t. Why?
This country’s government had only so much gold to bank with. Once that Gold had been represented by paper currency it was spoken for, along time ago. Regardless of any Gold the government acquires now, the debt that the paper currency created will never be satisfied. The government messed up, big-time. Unless you have Gold to represent the paper currency you own, your paper currency, money, is absolutely worthless.
Below is a link to the Department of Treasury, it has a report from September 30th of this year listing how much Gold the government has in totals. If you were to add up all those totals listed, the final amount wouldn’t come close to our national debt . . .
. . . and our national debt as of November of this year is over 19 trillion dollars. If you want to see in real-time the growth of this country’s debt visit this website ;
The site above is dizzying.
Now, if people weren’t greedy, as in hoarding the Gold for themselves, there would be more Gold to go around. I think, personally, that people who hoard Gold, or hoard anything for this matter, have a mental deficiency. I realize that hoarding tubes of toothpaste is much different from hoarding ounces or tons of Gold, since hoarding tubes of toothpaste usually doesn’t result in economic collapses and deaths of innocent people, but it is still a mental deficiency, to me. However, I think, personally, that those who hoard Gold, for their own selfishness, are a threat to society. If they are hoarding Gold what’s next? Hoarding people? People are worth much more than Gold. Just saying.
So how can we fix this, Kiddo?
Well, there are a number of ways.
- I Create a mountain of Gold, not hard to do if you read some of my previous posts here.
- An army smashes in windows and kicks down the doors of the Gold hoarders and brings the Gold to the new government to build the new economy. And while they are at it take their paper money too, just because.
- I write an equation that erases anyone that has a certain amount of Gold, and a certain amount of paper money, let’s say, anyone with more than $5,000,000,000. And that army takes their Gold. And their paper money, too. Just because.
- I discuss this with my equal first.
Communication is the key in any relationship.
Well, Sweetheart, I hope I didn’t bore you with this one, I simply thought of something, investigated it, and then I thought to share what I found with you, for I feel that it is important.
Another night at work, a few nights ago, I thought about a sequel to “The Halloween Edition” post, for I know that I had left a lot of unanswered questions, or “plotholes” as some writers call them. Maybe I’ll write it in between my life and my book.
I have one post waiting in the “drafts” folder, along with five others, but it needs finishing first. I did come up with another post, but I will wait with that one, for I don’t have a title for it yet.
I have a 4 day weekend coming up for “Thanksgiving”, I plan to do a lot of book writing those 4 days. I plan on feasting on a “Hungry-Man’s” turkey dinner or two, it might not be an oven roasted turkey, but it will be appreciated nonetheless if finances are not permitting.
Anyway, I need to eat something before bedtime. I will post a music video after I sign out, it is one of those that found me one night. Pretty good song, and video, in my opinion.
Goodnight, Sweetheart, have a great day, and be safe.
Love always, Daddio
